During the gig in Sopot (Opera Lesna), Poland, 6th July, Tracy did “Hound dog” by Elvis Presley and, in the very end, “Get up, stand up” by Bob Marley. I don’t really know which one is a new cover song
Thank you very much Lukasz!! The new cover song is “Hound Dog” then :)
I attended Tracy’y show in Halle, Germany last night. It was AMAZING! She has to be one of the best live performers there are, I’m still all happy and have a huge grin on my face. The cover song she did was “The Rose”. She said it was on the first record she ever bought, though she didn’t know why she bought that specific record, probabaly because “that was the first time I had money”. She also did “Get Up, Stand Up” as the third encore, but she does that on most of her shows.
It was an amazing show, she has an incredible voice and seems so at ease on stage.
The song “The Rose” by Amanda McBroom. Bette Midler sings it, just like many other artists. Another very good version of Joan Baez singing in English and in German. The German songwriter Bettina Wegner has the text translated into German and sings it to her “Wege” CD.
I confirm both songs in Sopot ;))) I also think new cover song is “Hound dog”, because she used to sing “Get up, stand up” earlier (look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tS-MMaxHAw or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoF44ngnU5I).
Tracy did a cover of “Stand by Me” last night in Hamburg.
Thank you for the info (lucky) Synje (who got an autograph:))!

I take my card and I stand in line
To make a buck I work overtime
Dear sir letters keep coming in the mail
I work my back till its racked with pain
The boss cant even recall my name
I show up late and Im docked
It never fails
I feel like just another
Spoke in a great big wheel
Like a tiny blade of grass
In a great big field
To workers Im just another drone
To ma bell Im just another phone
Im just another statistic on a sheet
To teachers Im just another child
To irs Im just another file
Im just another consensus on the street
Gonna cruise out of this city
Head down to the sea
Gonna shout out at the ocean
Hey its me
And I feel like a number
Feel like a number
Feel like a stranger
A stranger in this land
I feel like a number
Im not a number
Im not a number
Dammit Im a man
I said Im a man
Revision… oops Tracy
