2008 – Tracy Chapman Masters “Our Bright Future” at Bernie’s


DMN Newswire–2008-9-22–Grammy-winner Tracy Chapman has mastered her 8th studio album, “Our Bright Future,” at Bernie Grundman Mastering.  Mastering engineer Bernie Grundman described the new album as “beautifully recorded with a very intimate, natural feeling that will easily connect with the listener.

A mainstay of the Cambridge, MA coffeehouse circuit during her studies at Tufts University, Chapman signed to Elektra Records and released her first self-titled album in 1988.  Featuring the singles “Fast Car,” “Talkin’ Bout a Revolution,” and “Baby, Can I Hold You,” the album earned Platinum status and garnered three Grammy Awards.

Throughout her career, Chapman has supported numerous charity events, such as Amnesty International Human Rights Now tour, amfAR, and AIDS/Life Cycle.

A graduate of Tufts University, Chapman also received her honorary Doctor of Fine Arts in 2004 for her contributions as a socially conscious and artistically accomplished musician.
