We The Planet Tour

We The Planet will officially hit the road in the Fall, visiting colleges, communities, and political hot spots. One way WTP will show solutions, is by traveling across the country in veggie-oil and bio-diesel fueled vehicles, with solar panels, and eco-friendly interiors. The tour will begin in Northern California, and circle America clockwise for two full months.

There will be approximately 30 public performances during the 60 day tour. The performances will be speaking events, with occasional acoustic performances included: the tour features Julia “Butterfly” Hill as the keynote speaker-moderator, musician Tracy Chapman (who will perform a 20-30 minute acoustic set), national activist Howard Lyman, plus other speakers (included Andy Dick, Patch Adams, Krist Novoselic of Nirvana, Jello Biafra, Alicia Silverstone, Van Jones / Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Ed Begley Jr., Woody Harrelson, Michael Kang of String Cheese Incident, Adam Werbach…) and two local community speakers.

These events will generally be free & open to the public.
