Tracy Chapman to play Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada, August 5, 2009

Tracy Chapman will play the Edmonton Folk Festival with Sarah McLachlan, organizers have announced.

The Grammy award winning singer?songwriter will share the stage with McLachlan and Meaghan Smith at a special performance of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival Aug. 5 at Gallagher Park.

“I am thrilled to at last have Tracy appear at the Edmonton Folk Festival,” Producer Terry Wickham said in a release.

Tickets for the Aug. 5 concert are available to weekend pass holders for $50 for adults and $25 for youth (ages 12 to 17) until the end of June.

Tickets for the general public are $70 for adults and $35 for youth. In August the ticket price will be $90 for adults and $45 for youth.

Seniors and children under 11 years of age are free.

We have loved Tracy Chapman since her first alblum came out, in 1989.
Tracy has touched my whole family with her music, as touched our souls and gave us all hope to carry on and we all continue to love her music !!

We`re all going to the Folk Festival to see Tracy Chapman for the very 1st time and we`re all so excited and blessed to see her and hear her voice , as will touch our souls, once again and forever and always !! Love Ya Tracy !!
