The
show The New York Times calls "the standard bearer
for music on television" - Austin City Limits -
continues its exploration of new musical territories
with diverse artists including Tracy Chapman.
“Ever
since the first time I heard ‘Fast Car,’ Tracy
has been on my wish list of artists for Austin City
Limits,” said Austin City Limits Prodcuer Terry
Lickona. “It took time, but it finally happened!
It's an understatement to say she takes her music seriously
— it’s her life, and that’s why her fans
love her so much.”
The
Tracy Chapman episode is scheduled to air nationally
November 1 on PBS (please check local listings). This
episode is part of Austin City Limits' 29th season which
began airing Oct. 11.
