[ Emmylou Harris, All I Intended To Be ] Sunday, May 18, 2008

Emmylou Harris is releasing a new album out on June 10, 2008: this album is a collection of covers from her favorite singer-songwriters: "I've always seen myself as a relentless songfinder, a singer of other people's work whom I admire greatly, and an occasional songwriter." It includes a cover of "All That You Have Is Your Soul".

It's not the first time that Emmylou Harris is bound to Tracy Chapman, Tracy had invited her to sing on the song "The Only One" on the Telling Stories album recorded in 1999.

[ Austin City Limits show on YouTube.com ] Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Thank you to Atanvarde from Poland for having posted the Austin City Limits videos, it's a show that Tracy and band taped at the end of the Let It Rain US tour in August 2003. Now fans won't have to purchase the bootleg dvd on ebay.com to be able to see it.

My favorite song from this show remains the oh-so-soft version of "Telling Stories", I really love this song when they make it rock on tour (it always remains one of my favorite moments on a concert) but this version is just perfect:
