Tracy Chapman talks about her songs “Fast Car” and “Talkin’Bout A Revolution” to the BBC World Service as part of a program about the biggest names in world music, who talk about the songs they have written which struck a chord with a nation, or a generation. The program is called “Striking a Chord: songs that spoke to a generation, country or culture”

Tracy talks about the tremendous success of the songs, what people told her about them through the years, how and when she wrote them. Click here to listen to it
