On August 03, Starbucks is going to release a new compilation “Hear Music XM Radio Sessions, Vol. 1” which will include a Tracy Chapman cover of the Ben E. King classic “Stand by Me”. It’s been years she’s performing it on stage and it’s a wonderful news to know that it is finally studio recorded. The CD will contain 13 tracks: original pieces by Tracy, a Jason Mraz cover of Bjork’s “Unravel”, a Jewel cover of Nina Simone’s “The Other Woman.” It will also include James Blunt and the John Butler Trio.
The XM CD is exclusive to Starbucks customers, available at company-owned stores in the U.S. and Canada and at Starbucks.com (for $14.95 in the U.S. and $18.95 in Canada).
