Billboard confirms the rumor

I asked to Billboard.com more infos about the release of Tracy’s new album. Here’s what they’re answering me today :

Hi Aurelie,
According to Elektra, Tracy Chapman’s label, the singer/songwriter has a new studio album slated for release in September. There is no U.S. release date set for a hits package [=Collection].
Chapman’s last studio album, 2000’s “Telling Stories,” debuted and peaked at No. 33 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 535,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
